Storm's life was filled with responsibilities and guilt. Women have no part in his life. He's the MC prez and the town and his club need him. No one has seen him involved with any woman from the club or outside—until he heard Madelyn sing Karaoke in the club bar. He had to have her even if he knew it was only to be once—yeah—right!

She didn't trust men after her last relationship and the abuse. For her as well—one look and she was hooked. She had no expectations of a lasting relationship—hope maybe.

As they became closer with the sizzling chemistry between them, Storm still had the ever-present guilt and commitment to the club. The club was battling another club trying to take over their territory. Would he be able to keep her safe? Deal with the other club? Keep her safe from a past? Overcome his own history?

The love was strong but so were the problems. MC war, surprises, club brothers, and their family problems the club needed to be there to support their people. I liked the couple and their demanding feelings for each other. I do think the problems that kept them apart were redundant and should have been dealt with one way or end their relationship. I loved the support and loyalty his club showed.

Storm carries a lot of guilt from his childhood. He endured too many tragedies for a child to bare. He’ is sent to live with his uncle in Minnesota to help him but he sees it as a punishment. The scars are deep and there is no room for love.

Madelyn is young, fresh out of college with her first teaching job. One night out with her fellow teachers at a karaoke night will change her life forever.

Interesting story, good bones. Some things are repeated too many times for my liking, we get it your upset about XY&Z, but I’m not an angst lover. The “twist” was easy to spot, but maybe that was done on purpose? I enjoyed the story and I’m looking forward to seeing where it goes.
