Kink The Halls By Dawn Robertson

Kink The Halls ★★★★★

The entire gang we've ment from the hers series thus far, gather at Stars new home to bring in the holidays. From the title you only imagine the things that take place in the halls of stars  home.

2 days after reading Kink The Halls an I'm still saying...WHAT?!?!. I think Im still in shock... There was a lot of wow factors in this book.  But because this was a short read I can't go into details with giving a lot of them away..but I will make a point to say Ms Robertson you surely out did your self once again. I can't wait to see what else she has in store for us!!

Finding Willow By Dawn Robertson

Finding Willow ★★★★★

We briefly met Starburst Bloom aka Star in the first book. We learn that she has a child with her best friends brother that was taken away from her when she was only 16. Now 11 yrs later she set out on a journey to find her daughter. But that also means she has to return the the one place she hates most and face her demons. But what frightens her most is the thought that her daughter might not even want to know her.

This one brought me to tears.

I have to admit in the first book nothing about star was interesting to me. I thought she was a horrible friend just hanging on simply cuz she had no one else. But after reading her story I can honestly say I was wrong. I sympathized with Star on her struggle as a child, an I praised her when she finally decided to make her life her own.
True to form the smut in this book had me hot an bothered. Or perhaps that was the hot biker.. you'd have to read to find out!

It's official... Dawn Robertson is officially added to my favorite author list.

Hers by Dawn Robertson

Hers ★★★★★

On the surface Seven James is a fighter a leader An a dominant. In both the boardroom an the bedroom. After breaking up with her ex Daniel part cheating on her and breaking her heart, she sent out for revenge. Celebrating the start of her success she heads to sinners and swingers where she meets Levi Parker. But little does she know he would be the one man who would solely break down her walls and change her life forever.

Holy mother of god.. This book is exactly what the the doctor ordered! Seven was definitely a breath of fresh air. Countless books we read about the damsel in distress in search of her prince charming. Well not in this book! Like all woman.. strong willed or the weak.. she has her insecurities the does get the best of her at times. But that was when Levi was at his best! He was so sweet and charming and a submissive like youve never read about before. The sex scenes was hot like fire except instead of tryna put it out i was begging for more.

There was one small in discrepancy that was probably just over looked.. Im sure most people didnt notice it either and it did not take away from the story either. So you get a pass on that one Ms. Robertson.

Now im headed back to sinners and swingers in search for my own Levi Parker. Hell after reading this book id be willing to submit to Seven James.

Touching Scars By Stacy Borel

Touching scars ★★★☆

Katherin peirce was the nerdy girl in high school everyone loved to pick on. That is til the  verbal abuse went over board an turned Physical abuse. Vowing shed never let anything like that happen again, she packed up an moved to Texas where shes thought shed never be found. And so it was til her 21st birthday. With her uncle in walked one guy shed never in a million years thought shed ever see again. Was he sent to finish the job??

Timber fresh out of the army and suffering from ptsd simply needed a fresh start. He moved far away from home hoping to escape his demons. He was doing fine til his boss invited him to his bar a few blocks down to celebrate his nieces birthday. But he couldnt believe his eyes when he saw his bosses niece turned out to be the he crushed on in H.S. But she acted like she didnt know him.. why?? He didnt know but he surely intended to find out.

I loved that Kat had spunk. Dispite what she went through back in H.S she unlike alot of characters ive read about never let that define who she was. Back in the days she was the girl everyone made fun off now she was the woman at the bar every guys in town wanted a piece of.
We always read about the bully that turned into a misunderstood prince. But not in this book. But Timber was the bully's friend who just sat back and watched it all happen til one day he decided he wasnt gonna just watch it any more. He was sexy and all types of alpha male. When he spit his orders it made me want to comply lol.

Unfortunately, this book was just ok for me. The story line was good but very predictable. I give Touching scars 3 1/2 stars

Goodbye Girl by Scarlett Metal

Goodbye Girl ★★★☆

Rachel met Clint in a diner one night while she was on the road trying to escape her past. From the moment they lay their eyes on each other, sparks fly. He offers her a job on his ranch and even though she's a city girl, she accepts.

It's not long before they give into their attraction and settle into life together on the ranch. They find happiness in each other's arms and Clint quickly wonders if Rachel is the girl that can give him his happily ever after.

Rachel's past eventually comes back to haunt her, and threatens her happiness with Clint. Can they work through their demons of the past and find their happily ever after? Or will Rachel leave Clint just like she fled her life before?

This was your typical damsel in distress running from the past right into the arms of Prince charming. Who of course had his own issues. I was never a big fan of Cowboys and ranches an horses but Clint was all kinds of hot, and he made the sex scene that much hotter! Think I just found my first cowboy book boyfriend lol!!

The story line was good but it was very predictable. Which is why i could only give goodbye Girl 3 1/2 stars.

The Red head Plays Her Hand

The Redhead  Plays Her Hand ★★★★★

Grace has landed the lead in a new TV series—but when the director asks her to lose fifteen pounds, she goes public with her weight struggles and suddenly develops a huge fan club who support her right to have curves. But between that and the public’s continuing fascination with her “are they or aren’t they” relationship with Jack, Grace begins to wonder if anyone’s really interested in her because of her upcoming TV series, or if it’s all speculation about the size of her ass and her bedroom partner.

Meanwhile, Jack is voted the Sexiest Man Alive and becomes a little too enamored with the party-hard lifestyle. Grace vows to give him the space he needs to find himself, but then he begins to spiral down from lovable Brit to Hollywood brat. People are talking, but are Jack and Grace? Her career is on the rise, and his continues into the stratosphere, but will she be able to catch him if he falls? Will they ever be able to just be a couple who can hold hands when they walk down the street?

compared to the first two books this one had my emotions all over the place. I was ecstatic on how well things was going with Graces and jacks careers, i was in aww with how well their relationship going also, although they had to keep it a secret. But the media.. blogs.. and the press pissed me off. They were down right rude at times. Jacks behavior through out most of this book pissed me off.. i often wished i could reach in the book to beat some sense into him. Everyone tried talking to him but he just wouldnt listen. But like my mom always said "who dont learn must feel" And that he did.

I loved the way this book ended. Although I'm not entirely convinced there isn't more to the story.

This series definitely shed a light on what some of the celebrities we all know and love goes through. Me personally i tend to stay away from blogs gossip sites & celebrity magazines. Although i sadly have to admit TMZ is usually my vice. I always belived "if TMZ mentioned it, it must be true" boy was i wrong!

The price of being a celebrity.... WOW!! I always new they had It rough but I had no Idea just how rough. And to think this story isnt even real.

Consequences By Aleatha Roming

Consequences ★★★★

Working as a bartender Claire meets Tony who insist on her having a drink with him although she refused him the first time she eventually gives in. During there drinks Tony offers her a 'what if' contract which she signs just for the sake of it. But little does she know Tony fully intended on holding her to said contract.

sigh.. where do I begin..
first of all let me just say This was my second attempt at this book. The first time. I read it I gave up about 20% into the book but was told I needed to give it another chance so I did..
the beginning of the story was really intense and it tugged at my emotions.. in other words.. I cried alot!! and after claires 'accident' things between Anthony drastically changed. . but after that the story became boring and I was ready to give up on it.. again... I didnt want tony to resort to his old ways but I was dying for something... anything to happen..when claire finally grew some balls things for her seemed take a turn for the worst and tony finally showed his true colors.. ones I saw from the beginning...

I for one hated claire. I hated how she gave up so easily of course I know she did it to survive.. but when she gave in she also let her guard. She seemed a bit to desprate for love for me. Even when everything came crashing down she still could see what was right in front of her. Despite my lack of love for Claire I full intend on reading Truth but I have to mentally pepare myself b4 I do.

Quintessentially Q by Pepper winters

Quintessentially Q ★★ ★ ★ ★

Quintessentially Q picks up exactly where Tears of tests left off.  Except this time we get a glimpse of what's going through Q's head as this book is not just from Tess pov but from both.
We basically learn some of what happened in Q's  past that made him the 'monster' he thinks he is. And together Tess and Q test just how dark their desires are. An tho things aren't perfect they're better than either of them would expect.
That is until a threat from Q's past come back to hurt him in the most unthinkable way. And Q is forced to fight with everything he's got to save an protect what's his.

Oh My God I thought tears of tess was intense but this one had me in tears throughout most of this book. The second installment of the monsters in the dark series is dark, raw and, emotionally captivating.  No Matter how much I wanted to I couldn't pull myself away from this book and it literally gave me nightmares! But for someone like me that craves the darkness that was freaking fantastic!
There's not much I can say with out giving away the whole story so all I can say is if you loved Tears of Tess as much as I did you'd absolutely love this one!!

Although there is no cliffhanger in this one... thank god... Q and Tess' story is not yet complete... look for Twisted together early 2014!!

Tears of Tess By Pepper Winters

Tears Of Tess ★★★★★

Tess Snow lived a perfect life with her perfect boyfriend and everything was absolutely perfect! that is until her perfect boyfriend Brax, took her on a surprise trip to mexico. Where she was kiddnapped and her whole life turned up side down!! although she beaten branded an sold she refused to bow down to any one. The day she met her new master, Quincy, she made a promise to her self that she wouldnt let him break her. She would fight him til the day she managed to escape an find her way home. What she doesnt know is that not everthing is as it seems.

This book was so not what I expected. When I read the synopsis I thought this was another captive falling for her captor. But it was so much more than that. This book was dark and almost painful to read but at the same time.. it was beautiful an romantic an I absolutely fell in love with Q!  And once his story was revealed I was ready to trade places with Tess!
I loved the fight Teas had in her... I've read many stories of women sold beaten and raped that eventually give up an give in an eventually have a serious case of Stockholm syndrome. While I know it happens I'm so glad that wasn't the case here!

I felt bad about that happened to Brax when tess was kidnapped but to be completely honest Brax got on my last nerve an I couldn't understand why she was with him for so long. But that's just my personal opinion.

I received an ARC for book 2 Quintessentially Q for a review but knew I had to read this one first and God I'm so glad I did. If dark romance is your cup of tea.. Because we all know it not for everyone.. this is definitely the book for you!!

Now I'm off to read Quintessentially Q... review coming soon

Lovely Vicious By Sara Wolf

Lovely Vicious ★★★★

Isis Blake is your typical teenager in a new school. Or so you'd think just looking at her. At a party she meets Kayla and they immediately hit it off. That is until Jack Hunter A.K.A the ice prince walks in and embarrasses her new best friend in front of everyone. It's then Isis declares war on him for simply being a bully!
Jack Hunter talks to no one, has no friends, trust no. Therefore he's mean to everyone. An everyone lets him get away with it because he's the hottest guy in school. That is until he meets Isis. The thought of her infuriates him. So when she declares war on him he fights back just as hard.. just as dirty.. but eventually lines get crossed and then it's hard to tell how far it to far til it's to late.

When I first started reading this book I just knew I wasnt going to like it. Over the past couple of months i have read several stories about someone running from their past or just simply attempting to start over. And while they were good, i have no interest in reading anymore.. or so i thought.

Isis Blake proves that your past.. no matter how cruel it might have been.. should never define who you are. She the friend all teenagers need in their lives. She's a strong willed survivor that will always have your back no matter what!

Jack was the biggest jerk known to man and I absolutely hated him.. that is until Ms Wolf gave us a glimpse of his thoughts just as things started to get intense! Which I didn't see coming, but very clever of her because Then I didn't hate him so much. Like most teenagers he was guarded and miss understood.. not that he gave anyone a chance lol. But once things turned around you saw him from a whole different perspective. And I couldn't help but love him.

There was many times I thought I knew what was going to happen but Sara Wolf proved me wrong once again!! I literally couldn't put this book down. Highly recommended for anyone looking for something other than your average romance novel.

There is a major cliffhanger you do see coming as you get closer to the end, that will break your heart and also have you screaming OH MY GOD for days. But thankfully we don't have to wait much longer for book 2 in this series Savage delight is due out next month and I can't wait!!

One night with him

One Night With Him ★★★☆

We meet Reagan Larson at her best friend Addison's bridal shower at the hottest night club in town. She heads down to the bar to get another round of drinks for her party where she meets a guy she describes as a beautiful man plucked straight out of a GQ magazine.
They engage in conversation and eventually 'hook up' later that night in which she chalked up to a one night stand.
A week later Reagan is running late for dress rehearsal. She runs into the church where they've already started without her and as shes half way down the aisle she lock eyes with Colton Conrad a.k.a the groom's best man a.k.a GQ!!
Her very first one night stand has come back to haunt her.

One of the main things I really like about this book was Reagan wasn't a damsel in distress. And Cole didn't come into her life to sweep her off her feet. Cole also wasn't your average billionaire aplha prick we all love to read about. Both characters was strong willed with successful jobs of there own. And yet they still managed to complete each other.
However, I was not at all impressed with the storyline. Although it was good it, was way to predictable for me. I think this book would've been so much better had there been a draw dropping cliffhanger...  even tho I despise cliffhanger. One Night With Him needed more... unfortunately I could only give this book 3.5 stars

Back to Reality by Danielle Allen

Back to reality ★★★★

WARNING: DO NOT READ THIS REVIEW IF YOU HAVE NOT READ Back to Life, I DO NOT want to give anything away!!

So at the end of Back to Life Ty had gotten into an accident, how much can this poor woman take? Luckily she finds her way to counseling, THANK GOODNESS!! Boy does she need it! It’s tough when you carry that much guilt around with you and of course this most recent accident is her fault as well, according to her. On top of all that she is still in love with both men, but wait let’s make things more complicated and introduce a new one Ben! I really like Ben personally, but how will he fit into her crazy life? Will Emanuel break the engagement with Ashlyn to prove that he loves only her? Will she and Ty be able to work through their problems? What is a woman to do? You have to read the book and find out!

This book is a wild roller-coaster ride of apprehension, I recommend getting a good seat belt before you start reading, for as they say hold on it’s a bumpy ride! There is a lot of steamy sex, heart to heart talks, soul searching and bombs being dropped. Well worth the read. I give this book 4 stars!

Back to Life by Danielle Allen

Back to life  ★★★★

Sahara Lee has been through so much in the first 19 years of her life that she just can’t take it so she packs herself up and runs away to start a new life where no one knows her. She has graduated college and becomes very successful in her Human Recourses career. Not what she always dreamed of doing, but why should she be allowed to live out her dreams when she has ruined the dreams of so many others? Ten years later and she have absolutely no emotional connections to anyone in her life. She suppresses all of her feelings and keeps completely to herself accept while working.

At first I was like ‘another book where the main character blames herself for every bad thing that has happened in her life’ but the more I got into the story I realized that there is SO MUCH more to it. We all have emotional problems in our lives and each of us deals with them differently. This story is about how Sahara dealt with hers. Not necessarily the best way but in her eyes it’s her only option. This was a wonderful story of relationships and coping with tragedy. I highly recommend this book but I will warn you, MAJOR CLIFFHANGER. The good news, Back to Reality, sequel is out! I give this book 4 stars and look forward to more books by this author.

Remy by Katy Evans

REMY ★★★★

After reading the phenomenal Love story of Remy and Brooke we finally get a glimpse of what was going through Remy's mind.

"Shes so beautiful and im so broken"

" No crying, I want to make you happy. Not just happy. I want to make you the happiest woman alive"

"Your mine, My obsession, My dreams, My hope, My heart"

And god his words still bring me to my knees!!

So it pains me to admit this.. but ive never been a big fan of POV's. There has to be a way for an author to tell characters point of view with out retelling the entire story. Unfortunately Katy Evans didn't Concor that in Remy. However, all of Remy wasnt solely based on the past stories we read there was alittle of the present.  Which was great but there should have been more.  Which is why I could only give Remy 3.5 stars

I am happy to say, Remy ended the same Remy and Brookes story began... Beautifully!!

Dispite how I feel about this particular book I Still say Remy and Brooke's story is one of the best I've read this year.

Try by Ella Frank

Try ★★★★

I saw alot of people
reading this book and giving such great reviews. But when I read the synopsis I bought the book but put it on a back burner. That is until a friend of mine read it and told me I had to read this one now. So I did dispite my the fact that I really don't read same sex romance novels. But after reading Try ive officially learned to think out side the normal.

Logan Mitchell is your typical man whore expect he plays on both teams and he'd be the first one to tell you just how much he loves it. Logan is also use to getting what ever he wanted. All it took was a little charm. That is until he met Tate. Man that turn his life as he knew it upside down.

Tate Morrison recently out of a horrible marriage is trying to start his life over as a bartender in the local pub. Everything seems to be going well for him on his first day til he meets Logan.  Who makes his need for Tate very clear. Like most guys Tate turns him down informing Logan that he's straight. But Tate quickly learns Logan won't give up. And there's only so many ways one can say no before giving in... so Tate eventually decided to 'TRY'.

Wow this book surely knocked my socks off!  Logan's persistence with waiting Tate was sooo freaking hot I wished he was perusing me!! In the end they both learned to TRY. Try to except who they we're. Try to except they can be so much more, and Try to except that it doesn't matter what other people think as long as your happy. In the society we live in today I sure hope this book inspires others to be who they are!!

Tease by Missy Johnson

Tease ★★★★★

Liam cooper also known as coop is an escort. Has been for the past 8 years In order to take care of his sick mother. For the most part Coop enjoys his job, after all he gets paid to satisfy NY's most desirable women. Whats there not to love?

His family however never thought to question his line of work after all they think he sells insurance.

Things get complicated when when liams sister friend Mia.. whose also an old crush...moves back into town. As things begin to escalate between them Coop's ultimately forced to choose between a chance at real love and his job.... The choice is not as simple as one might think.

As soon as I found out what  Coop's occupation was I knew I was in  for one hell of a steamy story. But nothing and I mean nothing could have possibly prepared me for some of the scenes in this book! The things men will do for money!!

Hold on let me catch my breath before I continue....

Tease was a breathe of fresh air and an absolute must read If your looking for something other than your every day romance novel.

I am so pleased to say Tease doesn't end in a cliffhanger... Lord knows how much I hate cliffhanger. However, there is more to this story. If you read an loved Tease like I did make sure you look for promiscuous early 2014!!

The Truth About Us

The Truth About Us ★★★★★

Sophia running from her past life desperate to start a new one. starting her personality and a new town. She gets a job at the local bartender where she meets Courban. The town player an co ower of the bar. Courban an sophia has an almost instant connection that neither of them can explain. But the two are more connected then they realize.

The truth about us was a beautiful story about two lost souls that help each other find their way out of a dark path and into the light. I admit i was turned off in the beginning when sophia was so sad all the time. But once you learn why shes running you cant feel anthing but remorse. If youve ever lost someone you wasn't ready to let go of this story hits that very same spot. It a raw emotional story  that's so easy to get lost in. I loved it and so will you!!

In A Heartbeat

In A Heartbeat ★★★★

After a tragic event in the early stages of her life we meet Lynae Michaels a registered nurse whose barely living til her co workers convinced her to go out with them to club metro. When the hot new band 'Shameful Regret' comes out on stage and Lynaes eyes are Immediately locked on the most mesmorizing green eyes that immediatly make her knees go weak.

Both Conner and Lynae are haunted by their own demons that neither of them are willingly  to share with one another. But is keeping that secret worth risking their relationship??

Wow what a story!! 'In a heart beat' grips you tightly from the very first page. Although some parts of the story was easy to predict  an Lynae & Conners wasnt as orginial as id perfer i still couldnt break myself away from this book!

Looking forward to book two Make My Heart Beat coming spring 2014

Beside Your Heart

Beside Your Heart

Nicole (Nicki) Johnson is a 17 year old High School junior at Bellaire High School in Bellaire TX. Her life has changed dramatically the past few months. A car accident left her and her mother on deaths doorstep and her younger sister gone forever. Her parents divorced a few years prior to this and dad moved out of state. Now she faced with the first day of school after the accident and she REALLY doesn’t want to face everyone’s sympathetic stares and questions.

Adam Kincaid moved to the Bellaire TX last spring from England because of his father’s work. Adam is a well-built soccer player with reddish hair and all the girls love his accent. Unfortunately the girl he likes was dating someone else so he started seeing a cheerleader. Junior year begins and Nicki is his locker mate and he couldn’t be happier. He wants to befriend her.

I have to admit I had a hard time starting this book, but before I knew it I couldn’t put it down. This story is full of teenage angst taking me right back to High School. Does he like me? Why is he being nice to me?  Adam is the boy I would have wanted to date in High School. I feel in love with Nicki’s strength and the way she handles the events of her life. At the end however, I understood the reason for her choices but I don’t agree with what she did.

I have to say the ending of the book BLEW ME AWAY! It is NOT what I was expecting at all. I cannot wait to read the second book Disclosure of the Heart. I highly recommend this book to all romance lovers. I give this book 5 stars!

Mine By Katy Evans

mine ★★★★★

Mine picks up two months later where Real left off and we find Remy exactly where his heart lives. In the ring with thousands of women screaming his name and Brook on sidelines watching her man fight for the first time since his of fans watched him fall. All in the name of love

The past get revisited a few times and we learn all transpired during their break up and how those events made him a bit insecure about their relationship. Throughout 'Mine' we see a more vulnerable side to Remy we didnt see in Real and it will tear at your heart!

Their love is tested several times but not by any thing they've done to each other persay.  But simply by lifes challenges.  Which leads to the burning question... will their love prevail??

'Mine' is the epitome of perfection to an already magnificent love story. I laughed, I cried, and I awwed alot!! And the smut is sooooo much hotter the second time around!! If you loved and read 'Real' you have to read the continuation of Remy and Brookes story.

Next in the real series is Remy's POV and oh boy that should be one thrilling hell of a ride and I cant wait!!

I was given an copy of Mine via Net galley in exchange for an honest review

Barely Surviving By Courtney Cross

Barely Surviving ★★★★

We first meet Ava Mathews on her 18th birthday after her step father brutally rapes her. Believing she can no longer survive she attemps suicide. Four years later we find her Emotionally with drawn in London where she later learns her stepfather has died and left her everything. This is where she first meets Jonah Jacobson and their connection was almost instant.

Jonah Jacobson on the out side was hotter than fire an alpha male that could bring you to your knees with a simply touch, a smile, an even just a look. But like Ave Jonah too was barely surviving.

This was an emtionally story that will grip at your heart from the very first page. Ava's story wasnt necessarly a unique one. Most women that's been abused tend to shut them selves off. For me it was when Jonah came into the picture forcing her to open up to him only to be betrayed that Mrs Cross made this story her own. At first Jonah Was a bit too crass and to forward for me. But once I learned his story all that was easy to forget. All in all I loved Jonah an Ava's story. Barely surviving tells the tale of two people drawn together simply by fate.

I cant say I was surprised by the end.. kinda saw that coming. looking forward to book two Divinely Living

Take me home For Christmas By Brenda Novak

Take Me Home For Christmas  ★★★★

Sofia DeBussi has been in love with Ted Dixon all of her life, but when they were young and he left for college she made a mistake. She got pregnant with another man’s child and married him. Skip DeBussi was all about appearances and he was all too happy to have the beautiful Sofia as his trophy wife. She’s miserable in her marriage but is too afraid of what might happen if she were to leave him.

Ted Dixon is an accomplished author doing very well for himself. He loves Sofia to this day but she broke his heart when she cheated and left him for another man. When Sofia finds herself is a bit of trouble, will Ted be able to put aside his resentment to reach out and lend a hand or will he turn his back on her like everyone else?

I just don’t know what to say, this book it NOT at all what I expected. I thought I would be reading your average boy and girl are madly in love, have hot sex, stumble upon a bump in the road and let’s see how the make it through. Take Me Home for Christmas is NOT that at all!! This book was a wonderful read. I grew to care about the characters and feel for them as they navigated their troubles. Sofia’s strength and sense of self is tested throughout this book, but even though she doesn’t think so, she is a strong woman how fights to overcome the situation. Ted is amazing; we should all have a Ted Dixon in our lives. However I do wish the author had let the reader in on the circumstances surrounding Sofia’s betrayal. It is hinted at in the book, but the two never discuss fully why she made the decision to cheat. Another boyfriend that something significant happened with was mentioned but not fully developed.  I am hoping that there will be another book with this cast of characters in it, even the support character were interesting and I want to know more about them as well as wanting to know where life will lead Sofia and Ted. I give this book 4.5 stars.

The Honor series

The honor series

Looking over some of my good reads friends reviews for this series I have to wonder if we was all reading the same book??

Williams crass domineering alpha male persona draws you in. I can give him credit for that.  But once all the scerets are unveiled you realize he really isnt crass or alpha male hes simply a master manipulator!

There was a reference in the book when Emmas watching a scary movie simply to find out how far the killer goes before he gets caught, when William questiones her statment she responded. The killer always gets caught! William then counters that statement with if hes smart with a well thought out plan hell never be caught.

I was really hoping Teresa would make this reference come true. Just laid all william honors cards sprawled out over the table for the entire community (or even just Emma) to see. But she didnt only a glimps of the things hed done came to life. Had she learned all his dirty secrets the story would have ended so differently.

The Honor series wasnt a bad story I just think it should have been a little bit longer.
Overall I give the entire Honor series 3 out of 5 stars.. only because his manipulating skills was on point to the very end.

Marigny Street by Annie Rose Welch

Marigny Street  ★★★★

Eva (Evangeline) dreams, she has dreamt her whole life and she hasn’t always liked it. M re (grandma) tells her not to be afraid, her dreams are special and the good ones can come true. Eva doesn’t like it when her dead aunt visits her dreams, but when she meets a young boy “her angel” who saves her, her dreams suddenly aren’t so bad. She and her “angel” are meant to be together if only they could find each other.

This book was very interesting but I had a hard time getting in to  it at first because I wasn’t sure what was going on. Boy meets girl, boy and girl fall in love everything is perfect. Pretty straight forward and much like other love stories I’ve read, but something just didn’t seem right to me and I couldn’t put my finger on it.  These two characters are good together and their love story is amazing, emotional and beautiful but something kept bothering me. Finally at the end it all fell into place and I am so glad I read it. I cannot wait to read Red Dirt Road, I’m hoping it picks up where Marigny Street left off. Oh and there is a bonus, at the end of Marigny Street there is more of Eva’s story with the prequel Brighten Place.

I give Marigny Street 4 stars.

Christian Grey has a new face!!!

Im sure by now most of you have heard the news about Jamie Dornan possibly landing the lead role for Christian grey!(still waiting for E L James to confirm or deny) After taking over the big news with some of my fifty shades fan friends I got a lot of mixed reactions to the news, with good reason. Most of us was finally getting use to the idea of Charlie Hunnam as CG. But for reasons thats still unclear (due to a whole lot of speculation) Charlie quit leaving the role open once again for other potential actors. This sent fsog fans every where hitting the polls trying to get there fan favorites to land the role (which i knew was never going to happen). But the Director and casting crew for FSOG had other plans. according to my number one source for all things Fifty Shades +FiftyShadesFilm Grey the casting crew was also leaning towards 5 other actors.. Francois Arnaud, Alexander Skarsgard, Theo James Scott Eastwood and Billy Magnussen But it seems Jaime had the best Chemistry during a test read a few days ago.

While Charlie wasn't my idea CG I was happy with the choice. But now I don't know how to feel this news. Jamie isn't even remotely close to how I pictured Christian. He just doesn't give off that alpha male vibe needed to portray CG. But I am going to try to keep an open mind simply because I fell in love with the CG I read in the book.. what some one else says he looks like whether I agree with it or not is not going to detour me from that.  If you are a lover of the books as I am you should do the same.

The Breathe Series

This series is the epitome of emotional roller coaster. Like the characters on these books my emotions were all over the place.

In the first book Reason To Breathe we meet the 16 yr old beauty Emily Thomas better known as Emma. After her father passed away she was sent to live with her uncle George and his wife Carol. George an Carol has two little kids of there own who absolutely loves Emma. Carol on the hand had the exact opposite feelings towards Emma an set out to make her life a living hell.
Emma sought refuge at school where she spent most of her day with her best friend Sarah. Sarah knew a little about what was going on in Emma's house but because Emma believed she was protecting Sarah in some way she never truly shared all the details of her home life. But Sarah wasn't an idiot, she vowed to protect Emma no matter what the cost.

Emma's life changed the day she met Evan Mathews a transfer student originally from California  All the girls in the school was throwing themselves at him but he only had eyes for Emma.  But Emma didn't feel the same way for Evan at first. Evan and Emma spent all of there free time together as just friends and like Sarah Evan silently vowed to protect her with his life if he had to.

But is that enough?? When pushed to the point of no return can love conquer all??

In Barely Breathing things for Emma start off good Til shes forced to revisit her past forcing herself to find the answers to the questions shes wanted all her life. But she quickly learns whats in the past should stay in the past. She finds herself repeating the same habits in order to protect the ones she cared for. and things only go from bad to worse very quickly. Instead of letting the people that loved her the most in Emma pushes them all away. walking away from it all never looking back.

in Out of Breath Emma goes off to college leaving behind everyone she loved forcing herself to start over. And she did for the most part. But all she was running from eventually catches up with her, forcing her to face all shes done. She tries her best to make amends for all shes done. But in order to do that she has to do the one thing she hasn't been able to do with anyone.. Trust

This was a heart wrenching story about the trials and tribulations of love, and whether or not love can prevail . Parts of this story was hard to swallow. But I laughed, I cried, I screamed at my kindle several times  through out this series because she was so damn stubborn. And although i didn't agree with any of Emma's bad decision it was all worth it in the end. This series is highly recommended for anyone in search of a true love story.

I give the Breath series over all 5 Big heart wrenching stars!!

Carter Reed by Tijan

Carter Reed  ★★★★★

What would you do for the person you love? Would you sell your soul for them? Would you kill for them? Most people say they would but when it comes down to the moment could you really do it? Emma is about to find out.   AJ, Emma and Carter grew up together in poverty. AJ and Carter are best friends, always looking out for each other and AJ’s little sister Emma. They were like family; Carter always knew when things were bad at home he could turn to AJ and Emma. They became closer when AJ was left taking care of Emma after their parents died. They were close until the day AJ was killed by the mob. Both of their lives change in that moment and neither will be the same.   Carter Reed has left me speechless. I think I love him! This is not your typical story, the first chapter consists of rape and murder and from there it turns into lies, deceit, hiding and lots and lots of blood. Can Emma survive the decision she has made? Will Carter be able to protect her? Will he even remember her; it’s been years since she’s seen him. What secrets will come out once they are reunited? What will become of the life Emma has built for herself and what will become of Carter Reed? I haven’t been this excited about a book in a long time. I couldn’t NOT put it down and finished it in less than 24 hours. Carter Reed is my new Bad Boy Book Boyfriend; you wouldn’t want to miss this story. I give it 5+++++ Stars!!!

Eighth Note By Kimberly Stedronsky

Eighth Note ★★★★★

Kimberly had done it again, she has stolen my heart. I have told her and I say it all the time, I am NOT a fan the paranormal genre but I stumbled upon Roam (another wonderful book by this author) a few months ago and fell in love!

Eighth Note picks up 18 months after the end of Reign (the last book in the Roam series). Eva Reed is living in North Carolina with her husband Will and their daughter Perry. She board and restless. Since she loves music so much Eva has created a wildly popular music blog named Fire Ballad but even that is not enough. She longs to use her magic; she even misses being Queen in Icepond. Than one day Cole Mathison shows up needing her help. A singer Eva recently interviewed has died and Cole believes there is a paranormal explanation. Little did they know what was in store for them! Eva’s relationship with Will will be tested as well as her sanity and her strength. Oh and I can’t forget the sex, hot!!!

I HIGHLY recommend this book, but you should really read the Roam series first so that you know all the players and the background story! (Roam, Fall, Rise, Rule, Rush, West and Reign). Kimberly is a fantastic writer and I look forward to the next book in this series. But please don’t let my secret out, I’m really not a paranormal fan!

Cant Go Home By Angelisa Stone

Cant Go Home ★★★★★

Main characters: Dre Donely
                                    Kathryn Howell

I fell in love with the main characters from the moment i met them....

Kathryn Howell is described as a beautiful dark haired  honorable , kind and unbelievably selfless woman with an angelic  girl-next-door looks an a nonsense attitude. and she can see through the bullshit games men play in order to get what they want. which is why she usually goes for the shy quiet  ambitious intelligent men. Until she crossed paths with Dre Donely.

Dre Donely is polity gentle, grateful and definitely not hard on the eyes ... the word around town is hes the a gift from the unknown.  The men in the town all wish they were him and all the women what to be with him.  Although they all believe hes unattainable and uninterested. which he is... until the day he sets his sites on Kathryn Howell.

Dre  goes out of his way to make Kathryn 'His', which she doesn't make an easy on him. But the more she tries to push him away the harder he fights for her. (my kinda man)
Kathryn quickly finds her self completely smitten by Dres charm. but just as things begins to heat up for these two Dres past reveals a huge secret that can either make them stronger or ruin them forever.

To say i loved this book is and understatement!! The best way to describe this book is originally breath takenly beautiful. Cant go home is not like any other book I've ever read.  Angelisa Stone has the ability to drawn you in with this captivating suspenseful joy ride of a story that you'll never what to get off. There are a few twists in this book that you'll never see coming. Like the title for instance... half way through the book it didn't make sense to me... but once it did i found my self singing  Bon Jovi's Who says you cant go home' lol

5 stars doesn't do this book justice!! if you love originality and romance an hotter than hot steamy sex this is the book for you!! Who am i kidding no matter what your book preference is this is the book for you!! pick it up today... you wont regret it!!

Fallen For You By Carlie Sexton

Fallen for you ★★★★

If you believe your life is the sum total of your choices, what do you do when things just don’t add up? You are about to find out. It won’t be pretty. It won’t be dull. And surely, it won’t be safe. In fact, making just one wrong choice could put evil at your bedside watching you sleep.

And so it is with Kate Simmons, a young woman who, by choosing to regain her life, actually puts it at risk by the very choices she makes. After unimaginable heartbreak stops her world on a dime, Kate falls into a three-year blackness of self blame that brings her to the edge of life, itself. As time finally brings light back through tiny cracks of renewed desire, Kate moves out of the prison she made for herself in her mother’s home to find a new reality, rooming with her best girlfriend, Charlie.

Yet, to be free is to be vulnerable, and Kate’s choices more than ever mark a splattered line between being happy and being dead.

Care to choose? Here’s your menu:
A strangely alluring building manager so possessed with wanting you for his own, he’ll bury more than the fact he has a girlfriend; a buff college student for whom you are clearly hot, as are all the other girls on campus; a pushy lawyer who is as handsome as he is intoxicated with conquest, who doesn’t take no for an answer, who gets what he wants — always.

Sometimes, it’s whom you choose. Sometimes, it’s who chooses you. If you’re Kate, it’s both, and it puts you on a perilous road where good looks and humor are the thin masks of jealous delusion and utter violence.

You’re in trouble when the sum total of your choices is written in blood red.

Three men:

Roger, although hes described as a handsome man I could only picture him as the creepy guy from 'the lovely bones' lol This guys actions was off the charts creepy!!

Neil,  overly sweet yet very persistent drop dead gorgeous man who is will to say and do anything to get his way

Mark, A very handsome, sweet talking womanizer who clams to only have eyes for Kate.

One stalker:

All three of these men will stop at nothing to have kate for him self but only one takes things a little bit to far

For me Fallen for you started off very slow and it initially took me sometime to get into this book. But once Kate realized she was being stalked things seemed to heat up. And i was drawn into the story.
I did however feel like the story was a tad bit chaotic. Every character told there side of the story which made it just a bit confusing on who was speaking at that moment.  That did not how ever take away from the suspense, and the major twist i surely didnt see coming...
4 stars for Fallen For You!!
