Author: Sara Delight
Series: Lovely Vicious
Where to buy: Amazon B&N Smashwords
Rating: ★★★★★

Synopsis:

Light meets dark. Secrets meet truth.

It's been three years, twenty-five weeks, and five days since Isis Blake fell in love, and if she has it her way, it'll stretch into infinity.

After a run-in with her mom’s ex-boyfriend, she scrabbles to remember what she’s lost to amnesia. Her ex-nemesis Jack falls deeper into a pit of despair, and his girlfriend Sophia does all she can to keep him to herself. But as Isis’ memories return, she finds it harder and harder to resist what she felt for Jack, and Jack finds it impossible to stay away from the only girl who’s ever melted the ice around his heart.

As the dark secrets surrounding Sophia emerge, Isis realizes Jack isn’t who she thought he was. He’s dangerous. But when Isis starts receiving terrifying emails from an anonymous source, that danger might be the only thing protecting her from something far more threatening.

Her past.

***This book contains language and sexual scenes, some of which may be unsuitable for younger readers.

***This is the second book in the Lovely Vicious series.

My thoughts:

We picked up pretty much where we left off in lovely vicious.

Isis is still in the hospital an still remembers everyone except Jack. She becomes close friends with Sophia since she's helping with getting her memory back.

Jack tries to keep his distance even as Isis tries to put the pieces of the puzzle together.
And although he pretends not to care its tearing him up inside not to be near her.

We also learn a little about what happened the night Sophia got hurt. But there's a new threat against Isis. Everyone's in a race against time to find out where this threat is coming from.

"Sometimes people need to be messed up. It reminds them life is short"

This was a very quick read... but then again, with any good story length doesn't matter.

Sara Wolf has a way with words that draws you in and keeps you captivated. But she also likes to keep you begging for more. Which brings me to the ending... deep sigh...

I felt it coming. I wasn't exactly sure what, but the closer I got to the end my anxiety level kept rising.  Just before I got there I saw it but I didn't want to believe it. And when it finally came ...I balled my eyes out!!

Now I just have one question...

WHY?... WHY DO YOU KEEP DOING THIS TO ME??? July seems so far away!!

Donna's Thought's

PLEASE DO NOT READ if you haven’t read Lovely Vicious!!

When we left Jack and Isis Jack had just saved Isis and her mother from the mother’s abusive ex-boyfriend. Isis had been knocked unconscious and when she came to she didn’t remember Jack. Jack didn’t take that too well. This is where Savage Delight picks up. Let me add, for the record that the name of this book is VERY apropos. This book is exactly that, a savage delight.

“I fought the war against her”

Most of what I want to say would give the story away and no one wants that. So what I will say is that I read this book in maybe just over a day, I couldn’t put it down! Jack is still, well Jack but we can see where his ice is being melted by his connection to Isis. Isis is confused as she begins to regain her memory and I enjoyed going through that with her. She’s still the wacky girl who speaks to herself out loud while often times saying the wrong thing. This story has a lot more of Sofia and the events surrounding what happened all those years ago. We also find out more about what went on between Isis and nameless. I will say that I still have some questions and the ending left me cursing the author and the friend who had me read it. I feel I have to warn you, it’s a major cliff hanger. There is one point where I think the author may have made a mistake on a date, because the chronology of the attack to later events didn’t add up to me. For this reason I am giving this book 4.5 stars and I am impatiently awaiting the release of the next book in the series. (I’m told July 2014)

“The world doesn’t move for me. It stopped that night in middle school. It trembled when Isis first punched me, and grew to a roll with every day”
