My Thoughts:
We first meet William as a young boy taking a short cut on his way to school when he runs into a few of his class mates that has been bullying him for a while. He never fought back in fear they'll make the beatings worse. However on this particular day they beat him up so bad that it left him disfigured, and changed his life forever.
Some years later 13 girls wake up to find themselves locked in a dark room with no memory of how they got there or even who they are. Each girl has the number 1-13 tattooed on them. There captor is a mystery to the girls all in hopes of gaining there trust.
I absolutely loved this story! For me it read like your modern day Beauty and the beast. except the girls didn't just happen to wander into the castle.
Generally this story is about number 13. and is told in two POV's William's and number thirteen.
When I first started this book I thought I knew how this story would go and I was pleasantly surprised I was wrong. Number thirteen is labeled a dark romance, which as you probably know by now i'm so drawn to. But this was sooo different than anything else i've read. While it has its dark moment this is just an all around romance story with a twist.
If your looking for something out side of what your use to this is it!!
