I’m an animal, a member of the Sin City Outlaws motorcycle club that isn't capable of human compassion. So I’ve been told anyway.
Raven is my club’s prisoner. I’ve been ordered to break her. It should be easy given my violent history. But being this close to a woman—this woman—for the first time in a long time, is like sharing company with the demon Lilith herself.
She’s my perfect toy. Filled with a dark rage. Blessed with perfected beauty. Sinfully sweet and wickedly divine. Everything about her solicits the demons inside me
I want to hear her screams. I want those big, dark eyes looking up at me—silently begging me for mercy. I want to be her heaven…and her hell.
My desire for her is forbidden. My infatuation is illicit. I’m betraying my club.
And if the wage of my sin is death, then this woman is going to get me killed.
This is a dark tale of pain and evil in the world. The MC has a new president, the son of the former Pres. He was a man so evil there are no words to describe. Now the club is one to be proud of and faithful to. Cross' M O is to take small children and raise them in pain and teach them how to inflict pain. They are made reliant on him for food, not just regular meals, but enough food to even survive is dependant on how well they learn their lessons. We're not talking reading and math here. Raven is one of his “kids”.
She's now the captive of the club. Machete is her tormentor. His methods of “persuasion” are effective and often bloody. She attacked one of their women and knows about Cross. Machete lets no women get to him. He did that once. She cheated and the out come changed him forever. But Raven gets to him in ways he cannot control.
She learned her lessons well, still, she too reacts to Machet. How will they survive the forced time together?
This is not for the faint of heart. Its characters are complex, have backgrounds that have more than ruined many, need something or someone to hold on to. For him, he's found the club and the members who are his brothers. Can Raven's pull and what he learns about her make him jeopardize his place with his club, his family?
As their relationship progresses, Raven will have to make a choice, Machete and the man who made her into the woman she is. The ending is a surprise and no spoilers here to ruin it.
For me, the darkness, in the beginning, was almost too much. However, I had to watch the progression of these two lost souls. I needed to know if there was a future for them or if their attempt to find one would cost their place in the world.

As much as I LOVE this author and this series, I just could not connect with this book. It’s possible that I feel this way because I read an advanced copy that had not been polished and therefor was not a smooth read. There is a lot of repetition, which makes me nuts. You’re dark because of XYZ, I get it! It’s possible I feel this way
because for what happened to be believable, the story was too quick. (I know,
who wants the book to drag, but some storylines need time). I can’t pinpoint
the reason, I guess not every book is going to appeal to every reader. That
being said, I can’t wait for the next book from Ms. Forgy.

EXCERPT
“Kill me?” she whispers, her fingertips caressing my cheek. I want to push my body onto her, and feel her warmth against my skin one more time before I take her life and her body cools. I’m going to enjoy her. She’s dark and twisted.
I smile and bend down to get closer to her. Running my hand through her soft black hair I pet her, brushing her loose hairs away from her face. Fuck, I’m excited to play with her, hear her scream and watch her fear me. To quickly kill someone as pretty and smart as her would be a goddamn waste. Like breaking a toy before you got a chance to play with it, this needs to be done slowly.
“Oh no sweetheart, the fun is just about to start,” I threaten in a low whisper.
Something dark passes over her face, but she doesn’t break eye contact. It’s almost as if she sobers completely.
Suddenly a foot strikes me in the chest and I sail into the side of the van.

About the Author
M.N. Forgy was raised in Missouri where she still lives with her family. She's a soccer mom by day and a saucy writer by night. M.N. Forgy started writing at a young age but never took it seriously until years later, as a stay-at-home mom, she opened her laptop and started writing again. As a role model for her children, she felt she couldn't live with the "what if" anymore and finally took a chance on her character's story. So, with her glass of wine in hand and a stray Barbie sharing her seat, she continues to create and please her fans.
