This is book #3 in the Devil’s Due series and it focuses on Judge and Tamalyn. Both characters went through a lot as children, causing them to run away when they turned 18. Years later, Judge is ready to face the past and bring Tamalyn peace. In all honesty, I think the “drama” in the book felt tossed in just to have drama. I think if it had built up a bit more or revolved around their past, it would have been more believable. I’m hoping in the coming books the situation that caused the drama in this book is further explored, I just didn’t feel like it fit. I almost seemed like the author threw it in to have a big dramatic moment. 3.5 stars.

 

Judge gets his story in this third Devil's Due. Judge has loved hard enough to give it up to save Tamalyn from a life worse than even his. The girl next door lived a life of abuse. He was too young to fight the force of both sets of parents, living his own hell. He could love her and hold her and finally give her the means to escape by leading the demons away from her. No contact. No calls. Nothing. Finally, he's collecting their tab to free her.

Now to find her. To make her understand why he left her. Would she forgive? Could they finally be together?

The author uses few words to create a story of unselfish love, retribution, loyalty, and emotion. This small MC club has its own agenda. To find and make right the wrongs of each member. I've ridden with them for the first three journeys and don't want to miss the next.
