Catarina's Thoughts:
Ryan Jenkins live with his torment and demons, ghost from the past since he was thirteen years old. The things that he went through at the hands of monster makes him feel worthless and has disrupted his life. He is left confused, broken that is until his best friend introduces him to Stella and a world that can give him back his freedom. The love his best friend Mason and Stella bestow on him, gives him strength to fight, to live but most of all to break the chains of his past and set himself free.
This is no ordinary book about BDSM or domination, this shows us how it can heal a torchered soul, how it can help from a bond with those who love you that will never break. Through Stella's domination Ryan learns what it's like to be excepted and loved even though he thinks he is worthless. Stella and Mason don't turn their backs on him or blame him for what happen to him as a child, they teach him and give him reassurance that it wasn't his fault and only show him the love he deserves.
Margaret McHeyzer has written a brilliant book, you will cry as you read through, you will feel pain, you'll want to scream and plot revenge, but most of all you heart will go out to Ryan, you will want him to find happiness and peace, you will want him to find love and acceptance. There were times I had to walk away because it became hard to read because of the emotions you feel (that was in the first half of the book), but than you would come back because you need to know if Ryan did find peace.
I gave this book 5 stars and I hope that Margaret McHeyzer may write a book about his friend Mason, who knows. Maybe.

There's something about the written word that's pure magic.
Possibly it's the fact that there are 26 letters in the English alphabet, and they can create something so beautiful or so empowering that they're able to change our lives.
How important is it that we break suit and stretch our minds?
I like to think of myself as 'unique'. My stories aren't for everyone, and sometimes I may push what you believe to be 'normal'.
Normal is subjective.
I prefer to be known as a person who's never been 'bound by custom' but is 'unique by choice'.
Until next time
