Synopsis
Position vacant… Successful, attractive male requires a full-time, live in assistant. Please note; this is no ordinary position. If voyeurism and explicit fantasies are likely to offend, do not apply. The successful applicant will be female, attractive and very self-confident. I am not looking for a slave, or a submissive. I’m after a challenge. Fight me. Resist me and you will be rewarded…Donna's Thoughts:
“You think you know pain, Brynne? Trust me when I say this. You know nothing. But if you keep this up, I guarantee you will regret it.”Charlotte Lucas recently graduated with a journalism degree, unfortunately for her no one is hiring. Desperation and an idea to get noticed, encourage her to apply for a job with Jaxon Murphy, the “successful, attractive” man who was recently charged with the murder of his missing girlfriend. He was acquitted due to lack of evidence and lack of a body. Maybe Charlotte can find out the truth.
Jaxon Murphy has had a difficult life, his family died when he was young and when he became an adult he inherited 51% of his father’s very successful business. Jaxon has very interesting tastes. He doesn’t do relationships; he would rather pay for woman to be at his beck and call to satisfy his desires.
This book is very short; I was able to read it in about an hour. There was not a lot of sex but the promise of what’s to come has me intrigued. I will definitely be looking for the next book in this series. Nice job Ms. Johnson. I give this book 4 stars with 3 hands down the pants.
Catarina's Thoughts:
Missy Johnson has written a powerful first part to this novel that leaves you begging for more.
Jason is so mysterious and has very unusual tastes when it comes to sex, he is so unattached but can bring any woman to their knees. What are his plans? Why his he the way he is? Why does a man who has everything in want to destroy and really hide away.
Will Charlotte who is out of work be able to find out who he really is and what make him tick, or will she just become one more of his girls he has for his pleasure.
I love this first part and can't wait to delve into the next, I hope that Jason and Charlotte find each other, I hope Jaxon will finally find peace from his touched past and that he will realise Charlotte is who will save him. Only time will tell. It to early in this time. Missy Johnson has started a brilliant story that will keep you hang till the end.
I gave this 5 stars.
