Movie Trilogy Series by Kimberly Stedronsky

Book #1 Below Unforgiven

Synopsis:

Vivian Hale doesn’t cope. She runs.

Spending the summer in small town Pennsylvania, working for minimum wage in the old trailer-turned-video-store, Vivian longs to move on after her world came crashing down around her. She’s given up on her acting dream and is willing to do whatever it takes to make enough money to get a place of her own and start over- anything, of course, but sacrifice her pride.

Oscar winning, LA director Keaton Thorne is back home for the first time in seven years, determined to survive one weekend with his family. As best man in his little brother’s wedding, he has one job- show up with his gorgeous wife and prove to everyone in the small town that he’s better than his father had ever been.

When Keaton makes her a clichéd offer that she just can’t refuse, Vivian tries to protect her heart. She knows the difference between right and wrong.

Between moral and immoral…

Between acting… and reality.

One weekend. One man.

One yes.

Donna's Thoughts:

Let me start by saying that I absolutely LOVE this author!! I have read EVERY book she has written so far and I have LOVED each and every one. Kimberly does not disappoint!!
Below Unforgiven is, as I told a friend, an anxiety attack waiting to happen. The female character, Vivian is young and slightly naïve. She is torn between her first love Matthew and her new love Keaton. She has a history with Matthew. He is comfortable and safe, thinks through every option and weighs pros and cons before making a decision. Keaton is fly by the seat of your pants, don’t think about the consequences type of person. He’s passionate and they share a love of movies. (Vivian is a would be actress and Keaton is an award winning director in Hollywood) Both men love her and want her, but Vivian has trouble deciding.
This book is a nail biting, buckle up your seatbelt, rollercoaster ride. Both men are lovable. Keaton is arrogant, charismatic and sexy as hell. Matthew is good looking and charming in a geeky kind of way. He’s also stable and reliable. The back and forth drama of what this girl went through trying to decide what to do had me holding my breath and that’s without adding in the murders and the unexpected occurrence toward the end. This book is a cliff hanger at the end and I almost screamed at the author (ok, I did yell at her) but that doesn’t make me love the book any less. Its mystery, love, sex and suspenseful all rolled into one fantastic story. This is Kimberly’s first non-paranormal book and it’s a defiant DON’T MISS! “Oh Jesus, Mary and some other guy’s name that I couldn’t think of because all of my thoughts were stifled by the heat coming from between her legs.” I give Below Unforgiven and Kimberly 5 stars with 4 hands down the pants!

Book #2 On Heartbreak Ridge (PREQUEL)

Synopsis:

Every second chance... has a first.

When the curtain rises, the stage belongs to Vivian Hale, and everyone in the world fades beyond the spotlight.

Everyone except for him.

Matthew Fowler steals her breath, claiming Vivian’s heart from the first day they meet. They are lightning from the start, an unstoppable force that truly tests the idea of “meant to be.”

Keaton Thorne is determined to leave behind an adolescence of abuse and neglect, fighting to make his dreams of becoming a movie director come true in Hollywood. He meets Kelsey King, and his world is rocked by the passion that ignites between them. His new wife introduces him to a world of fame, and he is instantly seduced by wealth and success.

Before a perfect world, Vivian and Keaton survive a past of heartache, beginning on a path that will surely lead them into each other’s arms.

Donna's Thoughts:

“Possessive Personality Disorder, “which I interpreted to mean that I wanted to be the Master of the Universe.
“Since that didn’t sound so bad to me, I agreed with her . . . “
Kimberly Fucking Stedronsky does it to me EVERY single time. She’s writes these wonderful stories that scoop me up and hold me so tightly that I don’t even realize the story is finished and then I’m left alone and empty. This book's a wonderful prequel to Below Unforgiven, explaining in more detail Vivian and Keaton’s lives up until they meet. Some parts of this book brought tears to my eyes and I hate to cry, really I do! But Kimberly is such an artist, weaving beautiful tales with her words that I must forgive her for the emotions she evokes in me. Keaton is a troubled man who survived hell as a child and found himself right back there as an adult. He’s looking for romantic love. Vivian is young and has been through hell herself over the past year. She’s looking for herself and a way to heal. I give this book 25 stars, but since there is no such rating I will have to settle for 5 stars. I am on the edge of my seat in anticipation for the arrival of Before A Perfect World. Thank you Ms. Stedronsky for the beautiful world you’ve created for me to get lost in.

Book #3 Before A Perfect World

Synopsis:

Before A Perfect World (Movie Trilogy, Book Two)

Keaton never dreamed that he could fall so fast.

Vivian never imagined that she could fall… twice.

Vivian heads to the set of her first movie, determined to keep her promise to Matthew- even with Keaton in the director’s chair. Knowing the Round-Up Killer is still at large, the cast and crew try to do their job while worrying for their own safety.

Keaton struggles to keep Vivian close and respect the space that she’s asked for, but nothing prepares them for a frightening attack. The two find themselves stranded together in an isolated mountain cabin…

Left to the mercy of a killer.

Matthew refuses to rest until Vivian is safe, and Keaton’s family stands behind him in the search. The manhunt for the Round-Up Killer- and the abducted actress and director- makes national headlines. Their families struggle to cling to the hope that they will be found…

Alive.

For Vivian and Keaton, their love is threatened and their lives are at stake. Keaton will stop at nothing to protect the family that has always wanted…

No matter what the cost.

Donna's Thoughts:
“You’re kind of a caveman.”

Before A Perfect World picks up where Below Unforgiven ended. Vivian has just told Keaton the big news. She and Matthew are flying to Los Angeles for Vivian’s audition and let me tell you the tension is intense. Matthew, her first love; always devoted to her. He’s been waiting for her to come back to him. Keaton; wild, passionate, domineering, he never really thought her could find happiness. But now he’s convinced that his whole life revolves around Vivian and their child. If only he could convince her of that. She needs space, time to sort out her feelings. She’s torn between two men, two loves.
“Words are words until I’m three feet away from your passion potion.”
This book has it all! Suspense, there is a killer out to destroy Keaton. Passion-Kimberly know how to write a steamy scene. Tension-which man will she choose or will she have to choose? How will this pregnancy go? She’s high risk and terrified. Humor- do I need to explain this? It’s Keaton and Vivian, they are funny together. Keaton has the ability to make her smile no matter what. Surprises,-oh yeah, there are surprises. Emotion- Ms. Stedronsky knows I hate to cry but did that stop her? NO! But I will forgive her because the emotional parts were also very beautiful. I CANNOT wait for Beyond Hereafter. I give this book 5 million stars!!
“What I mean to say is, you’re hotter than a firecracker, all fuckable out here in this sex swing.”
