Donna's Thought's

Rayne Greer has been divorced for about a year. Her much older husband was cheating on her with a younger woman and although her mother thought she should just turn a blind eye, Rayne couldn’t live like that. She buried herself in work and her horse Bob. She loved riding and has gotten a part time job at Southland Stables.

Southland Stables has just hired a new Riding Master. Trent Newbury is a hunky, self-made established business owner. He loves horses and loves riding, so he works part time at different stables. Trent is a romantic at heart, but hasn’t met the right woman yet, but that’s not from lack of trying. He’s had more than his share of relationships.

The Riding Master is your typical romance. Boy meets girl, instant attraction. One is scared of being hurt, but the other is persistent. There is drama from ex’s that send people running, but there is something different in this book too. The relationship dynamic between the female character and her mother is an interesting part of the plot, a nice new aspect to this genre.

Trent is an arrogant ass. I really didn’t like him in the beginning of the book, he irritated me, but I kept reading and I’m glad I did. Trent turns out to be a good guy who just happens to know what he wants and goes after it. He takes on an almost dominant role in the book, which I happen to love. Rayne is a bit insecure but I think it is fitting of her character given her history. All in all I enjoyed this book and give it 4 stars with 4.5 hands down the pants. Oh did I forget to mention, its HOT!!!!
