“I have you in the palm of my hands,” he whispered softly and leaned toward me.
“What do you mean by that?” I whispered back at him, my stomach jumping as his fingers brushed my wet hair away from my face.
“Nothing.” He shook his head. “I’m just saying, I could do what I wanted to you right now, but all I’m doing is saving you. I hope you’ll trust me after this.”
“Untie me and I’ll trust you.” I nodded, unblinking.
“Can I get a kiss as well?” His eyes sparkled as his lips came dangerously close to mine.
“What?” I closed my eyes and waited to feel his lips on mine.
“Open your eyes, Bianca.” He whispered against my lips. I could feel his breath gliding over my skin as I opened my eyes slowly. I swallowed hard as I stared up at him.

Wowza, wowza, wowza! This book was fantastic. In a sea of same old same old, JS Cooper has captivated me with something new and different. That is not to say there isn’t hot, steamy s-e-x scenes, because I guarantee you there are! However this is not your average boy not looking for more than one night meets girl who can’t do that and falls madly in love and forever changing his ways just to be with her. OH NO!! Let me tell you, this book will keep you guessing and questioning what you believe to be the truth.
Bianca London lost her mother when she was young and although her father didn’t actually die, she lost him as well. Now, twenty some years later, her father has passed away leaving her his suspicions about her mother’s death. Bianca is determined to find out if he was right. But digging into big business can be dangerous to her health. One minute she’s sitting at a table, the next she wakes up bound and kidnapped. Can she trust the sexy stranger that has been kidnapped along with her or the mysterious man who suddenly appears on the deserted island? And just why are these two men been captured with her? What is their involvement in all of this? My only dislike of the book is that in chapter two the author describes Jakob, the main male character as having “a very low crop of dark brown hair”, then in chapter three, she says he has “golden hair and bright blue eyes.” and in the next chapter it says “his shimmering unruly dark hair” Those kinds of inaccuracies drive me nuts. However, all in all, I would say you HAVE to read this book. I will warn you, it is a cliff hanger, but it is well worth it! I give this book 4 stars and 3 hands down the pants.

In the mists of solving the mystery of her mothers death Bianca London starts to get cryptic messages from someone who obviously thinks shes getting in way over her head. Shortly after she finds her self tied to a stranger on a deserted island with no foreseeable way off the island. Unsure if this stranger is an innocent bystander or connected to her kidnapping some how Bianca is determine to put the pieces of this puzzle together.
For me Bianca came off as very naive and almost desperate for affection at times. Although she sense something is off with Jakob she trusts him any way and I can see how that is at all possible. When your stranded with said person.
Illusion is a very intense compelling story that doesn't hold you throughout its journey. While the I felt at times I couldn't put this book down, there was also one to many scenes that were just bit to drawn out. However, once things started falling into place my eyes couldn't read fast enough. and in the end your left with a major cliff hanger that will have you begging for more!!
This book is full of mystery and suspense along with a little bit of romance.. if you dont mind a little bit of each be sure to one click this one!!
