William Horse Ketchum never wanted an old lady or kids. “Kids are designed to destroy joy.” So, he keeps it wrapped up and keeps his encounters to one and done.

Marina was raised by a mom who only had her for the child support. When Marina turns 18, her mom expects her do to the same, find a well-off man, get pregnant and live the good life. Marina is not like her mom at all.

This book has its funny parts as well as its sexy parts. I found Horse to be a whinny arse for most of the book, but in the end he’s not so bad. Marina has a sad story, but that adds a lot to the story. So far, I’m enjoying this author and plan to read more in the future. 4 stars.

“Look, I’m laying shit out, okay?” Grizz says. “If you fuck her now, she’ll think you’re together. Then, when you blow her off, she’ll shit a brick-load of drama. Okay? So, then what? She either wants to leave or makes life uncomfortable on the Ranch. I’m not looking to live in a tense situation, so you need to be smart.”
