People Like Them By Carol Ann Eastman

People Like Them follows Cissy and her friends on their journey to fight for the right to love and live freely in the world of Eka. It’s a story about the courage to love freely, defiance, and refusing to let anyone dictate who you are.

I mentioned something similar in my review of the first book in this series, People Like Us: no one ... absolutely no one should have the power to decide who you can or cannot love. It doesn’t matter who they are or what authority they think they hold. Cissy and the friends drive that message home with incredible force.

This story is powerful and deeply relevant. It reminds us that no matter where we come from, no matter what we believe, every single one of us has a voice that deserves to be heard. In many ways, the struggles in this book mirror the world we’re living in today.

We also get glimpses into the backstories of several characters, which adds depth and helps us understand how they became the people we see now. Those moments made the story feel even more real and relatable.

By the end, I laughed, and I cheered when they stood up to authority.

If you’ve never read one of my reviews before, if you’ve never taken my recommendations seriously, let this be the one you trust. If you enjoy testing boundaries, forbidden romance, and a fiercely powerful FMC, I strongly urge you to read this book.

You can thank me later.

You Me and Forever by Laura Pavlov

Montana Kingsley is the best wedding planner in all of Alaska!

Her story immediately made me think of that iconic first line from The Wedding Planner: “Those who cannot wed, plan.” 😂

" you are the CEO of romance aren't you"

Trying to move on from her ex, Montana heads out for a much-needed night of freedom with her friends and that’s when she meets the irresistibly charming Myles St. James. They both agree it’ll be a one night thing, nothing more… and let’s just say that one night is pure bliss.

But of course, in perfect rom-com fashion, the next day brings the twist: the realtor who bought her family’s inn is none other than… Myles St. James himself! Cue the immediate shift from bliss to pure, fiery disdain.

Watching these two bicker and banter had me laughing out loud. Their denial of their own feelings? Hilarious. Their chemistry? Off the charts. And when they finally stop fighting it? Bring on the waterworks!

" I knew a diamond in the rough when i saw one. And Montana Kingsley was exactly that"

I’ve been craving a solid 5-star romance, and I’m so happy to say… this was it. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
After reading so many billionaire romances that just didn’t hit the mark, this one absolutely delivered.

Seventeen years apart haven’t dimmed their chemistry or the ache of what they lost.

Now, between family dinners, first snowfalls and fake dating fiascos, they'll discover whether some loves are worth any risk or if seventeen years is too long to bridge the gap.

A swoony second-chance romance featuring a matchmaking grandmother, a dreamy innkeeper hero, and the cozy Vermont town where Christmas miracles still happen.

People Like us By Carol Ann Eastman

This book… oh this book. It’s unlike anything I’ve ever read. Raw, daring, and achingly beautiful in ways I didn’t even know I needed. The world these characters live in feels terrifyingly close to our own… where power that be shapes the knowledge we learn, what we consume, where we work, how much we make, and, worst of all, who we’re allowed to love.🧐

“Do you ever feel like you’re just watching your life happen, but you’re not the one in charge of it?”

That line hit me like a punch to the soul.

What moved me the most wasn’t just the plot; it was Cissy and Riot characters as a whole. These characters, so young yet so brave, questioning everything they’ve been told, trusting their instincts, and stumbling into truths about themselves that cracked my heart wide open. Their hope, their fear, their desperate desire to simply be. I felt every bit of it.

I laughed with them. I cried for them. I rooted for them with every page, my chest tightening with that fierce, aching wish for them to reach their own finish line together. The love, the struggle, the courage… it all felt so real.

“It takes courage to grow up and become who you really are.”

Carol Ann, if you ever read this… I am waiting..impatiently, desperately, lovingly for Part 2. My heart won’t rest until I know how this love story ends. 🙏🏽🫶🏽

Not for headlines by Armani Noel

Snopysis:

Catfished from a celebrity's account?!

Yep, I'm the idiot who believed the sexting DMs were actually from Logan Fox.

Grammy-winning heartthrob, permanent resident of my playlists, and way out of my league.

Logan would never be interested in a waitress twelve years younger, still living with her parents, with dreams bigger than her paycheck.

So I thought…

Until the real Logan got word, and an apology dinner landed me in his billion dollar loft, his lips locked on mine.

He wanted to keep us quiet. Low key was fine with me… until photos leaked and the internet discovered who I was.

Comments were savage, Logan’s team wanted me gone. My accidental fairy tale trended for all the wrong reasons.

Should I disappear…or step into the headlines with the man I’m falling for?

A steamy, laugh-out-loud celebrity romance with catfishing, an age gap, secret dating, and a waitress who refuses to be rewritten.

Here are a few of Armani Noels' most memorable quotes

Okay, picture this: you slide into your celebrity crush’s DMs and he actually replies, and then you find out you’ve been CATFISHED. 😭
Like… what do you even do? I’d personally die of pure embarrassment and evaporate into the digital void!

But THEN said celeb finds out and decides to make it up to you? Insert every romantic comedy montage ever. This book, my friends, is the whole damn package: heart, humor, heat, and Hallmark level happiness! 💕✨ I was HOOKED from page one and didn’t come up for air until I hit the last line.

Logan Fox = “looks like sin and sings like salvation.” 🎤🔥
Grace = “a woman who works three times as harder than everyone else.. and still holds the door for the valet guys.” 👏

Woo chile... Logan Fox was 1000% SWOON WORTHY. Like, I'm pretty sure my Kindle just filed an insurance claim for third degree burns.

and that ending.. “Cue me ugly crying.”

Thank you, Armani Noel, for blessing my diluting my wicked heart with book🥹💌 You’ve officially convinced me to DM my own celebrity crush… and maybe pray he doesn’t block me or file a restraining order 😅😂

Hallmark movie vibes ✅
Laugh-out-loud moments ✅
Heart-fluttering romance ✅
Emotional damage (in the best way) ✅

Run, don’t walk, to read this gem! 💎

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 swoontastic, heart throbbing stars! 💖

Reminders of Him is a story of redemption, grief, motherhood, and the complexity of forgiveness.

Kenna is not written to be perfect, and yet in my opinion its what makes this book so relatable.

The chemistry between Kenna and Ledger is beautifully complicated, and the tension between them is handled with sensitivity and depth. Every chapter pulls you further into their world, their pain, and their hopes. The emotional punches are relentless—in the best way.

I encourage you to read this book. But be prepared to have your tissues on hand. Reminders of Him will break your heart, mend it, and leave you thinking about this heartfelt story long after you've read it.

"Maybe the best way to cope with the loss of the people we love is to find them in as many places and things as we possibly can. And in the off chance that the people we lose are still somehow able to hear us, maybe we should never stop talking to them."

Twisted Hate is an electrifying enemies-to-lovers romance that takes you on a rollercoaster ride of passion, redemption, and undeniable chemistry. Ana Huang masterfully crafts a story filled with fiery banter, emotional depth, and heart-pounding suspense, making it impossible to put down. I was hooked from the very beginning.

Josh Chen and Jules Ambrose—two individuals who, at first glance, seem to be each other’s worst nightmare. Josh, a brilliant yet cocky doctor, and Jules, a fiercely independent law student, have spent years exchanging insults and cutting remarks. Their hate runs deep, fueled by misunderstandings, stubborn pride, and the walls they've both built to protect themselves. But when their paths continue to cross, their explosive tension turns into something neither of them can deny—intense, soul-consuming desire.

"You're my personal hell Red And God help me , I don't want to ever leave"

The beauty of Twisted Hate lies in the evolution of their relationship. Josh and Jules don’t just fall into each other’s arms overnight; their connection is built on grudging respect, stolen moments of vulnerability, and a passion that simmers until it erupts. Josh, despite his arrogance, reveals himself to be fiercely protective and surprisingly tender. Jules, for all her bravado, carries deep wounds from her past—wounds that refuse to stay buried.

I wont give any spoilers but, I've never wanted to physically hurt a character in a book until chapter 46 . When you read it you'll understand.

With that said the characters that felt achingly real.

definitely 5 stars all around
