She saw things she couldn't even imagine. Only one person seemed to always be there for her. Yet he scared her maybe more than any of them He had the capacity to hurt her more than any of them.

This is a dark story of dangerous sometimes evil men living by their own laws. Anyone who interfered was irrelevant and could and probably would be eliminated. Remy is a man hard to care about but even more difficult to hate. While he didn't like the way his club had moved he hadn't stopped it. Would Star's bright light open his eyes to these changes?

Star changed from a shy young woman to a woman of strength. The life she found herself living was both frightening and exciting. Would she make it though?

The two find a new life together. To save their lives they take chances and devise plans that work sometimes and bite them other times. Will they make it and if they do, can they have a better life and a life together.

Two strong people who take desperate chances while it is dark the light seems to come through as they work together to live.

I REALLY enjoyed this book and I REALLY want to give it 5 stars, really, I do, but I can’t. As a reader of MC genre for years, when an author says something about a cut, it implies the vest/colors the MC members wear. If that is not what is meant, it should be clarified, obviously just my opinion. But since it was not clarified that the word “cut” was not this article, the rest of the story wasn’t as believable for me.

 Remi is a good character, though I wanted to punch him a few times. Star is kick ass and strong like a female character should be. The book has suspense, violence, sex and few laughs. Jackson Kane is an author I will keep my eye on, but please be careful when using terms that have specific meaning in the genre to mean something different. 4 stars

They had to put the clubhouse together but they had good guys. A start for them all. Quinn, the president, had even found his woman. Little did he know that Quinn's woman would introduce him to the mouthy hot woman who punched him in the mouth at their first meeting, Maybe he deserved it.

Fancy was determined to settle down with a professional man well established. Certainly not a bad biker boy like her friend -- no matter how hot he was. And Dyno was hot. Smokin.

The two are a riot and so great together. It is amazing to watch this club build literally from the floor up. Characters are entertaining and engaging. The danger is real. When he finally decides Fancy is his a threat could take her from him. Not gonna let that happen.
