White Pawn Reviews

Title: White Pawn
Author: Stevie J Cole
Genre: Romantic Suspense
 Release Date: March 22, 2017

Blurb

This could have been a love story. It could have been, but he screwed that all up. You see, he thinks it’s a game. He thinks I’m his pawn, but he couldn’t be more wrong. Every move he makes, I’ll block him. Every time he thinks he’s about to seize me, I’ll run. Some men underestimate the power of the queen because they’re too busy playing king. They forget she’s the most powerful piece on the board. And love is not a game I’m apt at losing. What will it take for him to realize I’ll never be his pawn, but I’ll happily play his queen? Love is not a game, but the chase certainly is.

HOLY HELL what is wrong with this author? Dark is not strong enough a word to describe this book!!!

Take this warning to heart, DO NOT GET ON THIS AUTHOR’S BAD SIDE!!!! This book is terrifying and dark, TERRIFYING!!! I think I might have nightmares.

“I’m not one of those lunatic authors that’s so out of touch with reality that I just black out and slaughter someone-“ I’m not so sure about that, really, I’m not.

I’ve read my share of dark stories, I’m that fan, don’t know what is wrong with me or what happened in my childhood to make me like the dark tales, but I do. I have read a couple of authors that have been the Queen of dark, but Stevie J. Cole just dethroned them, and I don’t say that lightly. This book is beyond dark, it is plausible, like not a stretch of the imagination to make it fit fiction, this is I wouldn’t be surprised to see it in headline news. There is one small part that doesn’t quite fit, but the story is so captivating that I am willing to not dwell on it or a good part of the plot falls apart. I bow down to you Stevie J. Cole, oh (what’s higher than Queen? Empress?) of darkness. You are one sick puppy and I can’t wait to read what is swirling around your sick, depraved mind next! (have you seen a doctor?) 5++ of the darkest stars you can imagine!!

"Some men underestimate the power of the Queen because they are are too busy playing King."

A uniquely twisted story, brilliantly written with a dark romantic undertone interwoven amongst a great plot with characters that were full blown crazy that had me glued to my kindle.

This is my first book solely by Stevie J Cole. She not only delivers a dark twisted tale but kept up the momentum throughout. At times I couldn't decide if I loved the character's or loathed them! Hated the plot or if it was a literary gem! Loved it!

Would highly recommend. I can't wait to read her other books now!

Author Bio

Stevie J. Cole lives deep in the woods of Alabama with her husband and two precious daughters. She studied Epidemiology concentrating on cancer research but has always had a passion for writing. Some of her stories will strip you bare, some will give you nightmares, but the one thing she can promise is that she will always give you stories that make you feel.

Raw. Gritty. Love.
Because sometimes characters need to be flawed.

P.S. Stevie's greatest fear is the impending zombie apocalypse. Think about it: swarming armies of decaying, oozing corpses stumbling around with clicking teeth, trying to eat your face. Nothing about that is good. NOTHING!
