Review:
Louise Bay is one talented
author; I am truly in love with her writing and her characters. In What the
Lightening Sees, Harry (Jake) and Haven are a wonderful example of instant
attraction thwarted by insecurities and deviousness. Jake is a self-made
millionaire not interested in commitment, while Haven is a hard working woman
who can’t stand overly confident, spoiled rich men. Haven is very uptight at
work, she’s trying to be professional, but when she’s forced to work with Jake,
her lips begin flapping and what she has to say isn’t very polite. It doesn’t
bother Jake too much; he’s enjoying the challenge of the attractive “bitch”. This
compilation of three novellas has ups and downs, sexy, heartwarming and
emotional scenes. I would have liked very much to know what is going on between
Luke and Emma. I hope there will be another story to explain that pair. Louise
Bay is a wonderful author and I look forward to reading more of her work. I
give this collection 5 stars with 4 hands down the pants.
