Donna's Thoughts:

I have to be honest and say that I read book #1 and then book #4. I didn’t want to read them that way, but it was out of my control. I suggest you NOT do that. There were some things I wish I didn’t know already and some things that I didn’t understand. Regardless, because this is how I read the series thus far, I can say that I noticed a big difference in the authors writing. Book 1 was good, but it didn’t grab me and hold on, this book did. I ABSOLUTLY LOVE Blade! Nina Levine painted a wonderful picture of his darkness and his struggle with that darkness, I felt it! And OMG was this book SO MUCH HOTTER!! Wowza Blade a badass dominant man, mmm mmm mmm. It was strange to be reading a Motorcycle Club book where the main male character drives a Jaguar and not a Harley.

Layla is a kickass, strong, independent woman who you don’t want to mess with. She comes from a well to do family, but turns her back on them when dirty secrets are revealed. After that, life takes some bad turns for her, but she doesn’t let it get her down, she fights back and takes life on head first. Things aren’t easy, but she doesn’t let that get to her. She doesn’t need Blade to save her, which I love, but his influences make her life easier finally.

These two are a force to be reckoned with. They bring beauty into each other’s lives when there had never been any. I give this book 4.5 stars and 4 hands down the pants. Lordy, lordy Blade (fanning self)!
