Cant Go Home By Angelisa Stone

Cant Go Home ★★★★★

Main characters: Dre Donely
                                    Kathryn Howell

I fell in love with the main characters from the moment i met them....

Kathryn Howell is described as a beautiful dark haired  honorable , kind and unbelievably selfless woman with an angelic  girl-next-door looks an a nonsense attitude. and she can see through the bullshit games men play in order to get what they want. which is why she usually goes for the shy quiet  ambitious intelligent men. Until she crossed paths with Dre Donely.

Dre Donely is polity gentle, grateful and definitely not hard on the eyes ... the word around town is hes the a gift from the unknown.  The men in the town all wish they were him and all the women what to be with him.  Although they all believe hes unattainable and uninterested. which he is... until the day he sets his sites on Kathryn Howell.

Dre  goes out of his way to make Kathryn 'His', which she doesn't make an easy on him. But the more she tries to push him away the harder he fights for her. (my kinda man)
Kathryn quickly finds her self completely smitten by Dres charm. but just as things begins to heat up for these two Dres past reveals a huge secret that can either make them stronger or ruin them forever.

To say i loved this book is and understatement!! The best way to describe this book is originally breath takenly beautiful. Cant go home is not like any other book I've ever read.  Angelisa Stone has the ability to drawn you in with this captivating suspenseful joy ride of a story that you'll never what to get off. There are a few twists in this book that you'll never see coming. Like the title for instance... half way through the book it didn't make sense to me... but once it did i found my self singing  Bon Jovi's Who says you cant go home' lol

5 stars doesn't do this book justice!! if you love originality and romance an hotter than hot steamy sex this is the book for you!! Who am i kidding no matter what your book preference is this is the book for you!! pick it up today... you wont regret it!!

Fallen For You By Carlie Sexton

Fallen for you ★★★★

If you believe your life is the sum total of your choices, what do you do when things just don’t add up? You are about to find out. It won’t be pretty. It won’t be dull. And surely, it won’t be safe. In fact, making just one wrong choice could put evil at your bedside watching you sleep.

And so it is with Kate Simmons, a young woman who, by choosing to regain her life, actually puts it at risk by the very choices she makes. After unimaginable heartbreak stops her world on a dime, Kate falls into a three-year blackness of self blame that brings her to the edge of life, itself. As time finally brings light back through tiny cracks of renewed desire, Kate moves out of the prison she made for herself in her mother’s home to find a new reality, rooming with her best girlfriend, Charlie.

Yet, to be free is to be vulnerable, and Kate’s choices more than ever mark a splattered line between being happy and being dead.

Care to choose? Here’s your menu:
A strangely alluring building manager so possessed with wanting you for his own, he’ll bury more than the fact he has a girlfriend; a buff college student for whom you are clearly hot, as are all the other girls on campus; a pushy lawyer who is as handsome as he is intoxicated with conquest, who doesn’t take no for an answer, who gets what he wants — always.

Sometimes, it’s whom you choose. Sometimes, it’s who chooses you. If you’re Kate, it’s both, and it puts you on a perilous road where good looks and humor are the thin masks of jealous delusion and utter violence.

You’re in trouble when the sum total of your choices is written in blood red.

Three men:

Roger, although hes described as a handsome man I could only picture him as the creepy guy from 'the lovely bones' lol This guys actions was off the charts creepy!!

Neil,  overly sweet yet very persistent drop dead gorgeous man who is will to say and do anything to get his way

Mark, A very handsome, sweet talking womanizer who clams to only have eyes for Kate.

One stalker:

All three of these men will stop at nothing to have kate for him self but only one takes things a little bit to far

For me Fallen for you started off very slow and it initially took me sometime to get into this book. But once Kate realized she was being stalked things seemed to heat up. And i was drawn into the story.
I did however feel like the story was a tad bit chaotic. Every character told there side of the story which made it just a bit confusing on who was speaking at that moment.  That did not how ever take away from the suspense, and the major twist i surely didnt see coming...
4 stars for Fallen For You!!

Heels of Love by Phoenix Rayne

★★★★

Eugenia (Cricket) Hooper has just left her third fiancĂ© at the altar. She has never lived in the Pacific Northwest before so when her best friend offers her a place to stay and a job she can’t refuse. Cricket is used to running and relocating, she doesn’t stay in one place for very long. Cricket has a past she’d rather forget. Once she arrives in Seattle she wants to get to know her new home and decides to take a drive. A sudden storm blinds her and she becomes lost and stuck in the mud on private property. She has seen one too many horror movies so when she sees a tall, dark, handsome man she assumes the worst, her life is over!

Jameson (Jyme) Samson has only been with one woman in all his life and she tore his heart out and smashed it to bits last year. He’s built like an Adonis but he has inherited the family trait and Elle just couldn’t handle it and now no other woman on the reservation will look at him. Grandma assures him there is someone out there for him, after all his grandfather and father both found women who could get past the family trait. She knows that his love will come from a far off land and will be everything he needs. But Jyme too has secrets; will he be able to trust a woman again? Can he let her know about his life, will his mother ever accept a stranger?

To be honest, I had a hard time getting into this book in the beginning. Despite that fact I couldn’t put the book down. The plot intrigued me, what where these two hiding? Would Cricket be able to get past the family trait, how many women could? This story had so many twists and turns and by the end I sat there thinking “I did not see that coming!” and the ending had me crying “NOOOOO”. I also love that the main character is a confidant size 18 woman. So many women are not twigs and finding a book that portrays the large size well is a real treat. Phoenix Rayne defiantly has a gift for unusual plots and I see her doing very well. This book is not your typical love story and I recommend it to those who love romance. I give Heels of Love 4 stars.

Backstage Pass By Olivia Cunning

Backstage Pass ★★★★★

Five stunning guys, one hot woman, and a feverish romance...For him, life is all music and no play...When Brian Sinclair, lead songwriter and guitarist of the hottest metal band on the scene, loses his creative spark, it will take nights of downright sinful passion to release his pent-up genius...She's the one to call the tune...When sexy psychologist Myrna Evans goes on tour with the Sinners, every boy in the band tries to seduce her. But Brian is the only one she wants to get her hands on...Then the two lovers' wildly shocking behavior sparks the whole band to new heights of glory...and sin...

I was never a fan of rock bands or music. But reading this book made me wish I was at one of the sinners concerts rocking out to their music, sreaming out 'I love you' to the band, throwing my panties at the guys on the stage... ok maybe im exaggerating a little there... or am I?

I need to take a minute to praise olivia cunning on her amazing writing skills. I have read a book that made me change my panties after every sex scene... Every single one!!.. each one hotter than the last. And ive learned a trick or two I cant wait to try out ;^)

What is there not to love about this book.. 5 stars just isnt enough to rate this book an if youve read any of my other reviews youd know I dont say that often.

Now im off to find out more about these sinners.

Hers to choose by Lizzy Ashworth

Hers to Choose ★★★★

Main Characters:  Bryn McClure
                                     Alex Cannon
                                     Dan Cannon

Bryn McClure has moved back to the family farm she inherited after her divorce. She is despite to save the farm from being foreclosed upon after refinancing to save her loser ex-husband. She had a job working for Brent Thomas, but he was holding her pay. She finally decides to rent the hunting cabin located on the property to cousins Alex and Dan Cannon. A mutual friend has asked if she would be interested in helping Dan out with a problem for a little extra money. In desperate need she agrees.

Alex Cannon is worried sick about his cousin Dan who is more like a brother to him. Dan is drowning his personal problems in pills and alcohol. After discussing the problem with a friend, it is suggested Dan may need to partake in some BDSM and domination to help him work through his issues and Bryn McClure is a willing submissive.

This arrangement is supposed to be strictly therapeutic, sex isn’t part of the deal and emotional involvement was never supposed to happen. Bryn loves the way Dan dominates her but he is a troubled man full of anger. Alex is someone she could care for but he says he’s involved plus Alex doesn’t understand her kink.

Alex is falling for Bryn, but she is loving her time with Dan and honestly he doesn’t get the domination submission aspect of their interactions. Can Bryn ever fall for him? What about Dan? How do they all fit together and how can this work?

This book is HOT. It is full of sex, kink and emotions. I give this book 4 hands down your pants especially the last chapter! This is a must read for erotica fans. Looking forward to the next one.

Unintentional Virgin By A.J Bennett

Unintentional Virgin ★★★★

Karma Points (what were her parents thinking?) is around the corner from her 20th birthday and she’s still a virgin. It’s not from lack of trying but the universe must be out to get her. Every time she gets close something goes wrong. One time the boy’s parents walked in on them, another boy stud her up, she just can’t seem to lose it! Her friend Eva has a plan, go to the club and hook up for a one night stand.

Once at the club Karma isn’t interested in much, one guy is drowning his sorrows and isn’t interested in meeting anyone. The bouncer caught her eye the moment she spotted him, he was “dark and delicious” he was “covered in tattoos (with) inky black hair … strong jawline and the palest blue eye’s” she’d ever seen. But there’s no way he would ever look twice at someone like her. She had a few extra pounds, mousy, frizzy hair, her eyes were too far apart and she had no self-esteem.

Jax has been helping out his brother-in-law at the club bouncing whenever he could. It was good money, easy work and a good way to spend his time, what else did he have to do since the disaster of his last relationship ended. His social life had been slow since then. Standing at the club door checking ID’s one night, Jax looks up and sees a girl with just the right amount of curves and the most amazing eye’s he’s ever seen.

Can Karma convince this hot hunk to be her first? Jax finds her intriguing especially later that night when she tells him she’s “came here to have her first one=night stand”! “Jesus that girl was going to give him a heart attack. She looked so sweet and innocent with those wide eyes and they she dropped (that) bomb”. Will this finally be her big night or will fate step in once again and stop her from having sex?

I enjoyed this story. It was mildly predictable but these two characters made me want to follow their story to the end. Jax is that guy women are always looking for, handsome, built and a really good guy. Karma is a young girl who has never been able to become what is expected of her, she doesn’t believe in happily ever after she just doesn’t want to die a virgin. It’s a nice story and I give it 4 stars.

Incineration (Heart Of Stone)

Incineration ★★★

Main Characters: Ava Stone
                                   Mason Fox

Sometimes, all life deals you is shit, you just have to learn to accept the hand you’re given and win…and win good!

After a horrific childhood and a tragic incident whilst living on the streets, Ava Stone is taken in by George Fielding, a respected figure in London’s organised crime circle.
After a few years of being under George’s protection and care, Ava is employed by Mason Fox, when George suddenly decides to retire abroad.

Mason is top of the ladder in the crime world and Ava finds herself equally frightened of him and intrigued by him. He brings out emotions and reactions Ava hasn’t felt in a very long time and soon the pair are utterly consumed in a passionate but toxic affair.

Masons’ dominancy and need for control has Ava fighting against the things she swore would never hold her back from life, but she soon discovers that love and passion may not be enough to hold their turbulent relationship together and when a friend of Masons’ is gripped by a jealous rage, Ava finds herself relying and depending on the very parts of her old self that she locked away so securely five years ago along with desperately trying to shield her heart from Masons suffocating rule on her.

Sometimes, Love is just that little bit too difficult

I didnt want to but i liked this book even though it gave me whip lash. So much happens in such a short time span. i found me self saying 'seriously' alot while reading this one.

Mason and Ava falls in love almost over night. And every time they get into a 'row' she runs away... every single time!! It became annoying after a while. Ava's described as a strong willed character and yet as soon as love comes along it makes her weak?
Mason,  can keep his caveman like behavior, but id be willing to take everything else where ever he'd allow me to.. and further lol.
On a serious note.. although Masons described as a player he seemed almost desperate to make things work out with Ava no matter what the cost. Now thats not necessarily a bad thing i just hoped to see a lil resistance in the love factor given that this was all new to him.
And when things seem to fall apart for the two of them it was literally one thing after another.

In my opinion i think there was too many villains there was Rebecca who was there but at the same time wasn't...I wanted to hate but i  she didnt really do anything for me to hate her... and some of the other events in this book was dragged out.

Over all the story was good which is why i gave it three stars... but it could have been so much better.

Facing the Music By Nick Carter

Facing The Music ★★★★

I am a huge Backstreet Boys fan ever since when I was younger. I knew every word to every song on every album up until Black and Blue. (I still do) After that I sort of lost interest or maybe i just grew out of the boy band faze lol. Word got out that they were getting back together and I was over joyed. All the love I had for those guys came rushing back to me making me feel like a kid again... Then I heard Nick Carter wrote an autobiography/ self help book I new I had to read it. I was never a die a hard Nick Carter fan per say, But I loved him just the same.

Nick Carter now 33 years old, opens up about what it was like growing up as a pop star, his struggles with substance & alcohol abuse, his family troubles and the death of his sister Leslie Carter.

I love when celebrities writes self help books... even if you yourself dont take any of their advice you know someone reading that book will take heed to their advice. And that in it self is a beautiful thing.

Reading this book I can feel the love in his words. He never points fingers blaming any one person for all hes endured. Hes simply trying to guide others struggling with the same demons down the right path.

The writing per say wasn't that great and there was alot of repetition withing the book but he did get his point across. and for that he get 4 stars!!

Keep up the good work Nick!!

Beauty and The Bad Boy

Beauty and the Bad Boy ★★★★

My Thoughts on Beauty and the Bad Boy... Dakotahas been through so much tragedy in her short life, more than any one person should have to endure. She has worked hard and has earned her degree and become a professor by the time she is 21 and love is the last thing on her list of priorities. Dakota inherited a ’68 Mustang which needs a tune up. She knows the best place to take it is motorcycle clubs shop in the Ghetto, a place people from the Heights don’t go.

Jake is a sex god mechanic in the motorcycle club. He too has seen his share of tragedy. He’s had his share of women but hasn’t “noticed” a woman in years, until a ’68 Mustang pulls into the shop and out steps Dakota.

This is an incredible love story about two people who never thought they would find happiness. The story portrays the dirty side of the motorcycle club and the struggles these two people go through to make their unorthodox relationship work. Can Dakota live with what Jake must do for his club? Can Jake put Dakota through those life changing decisions? This story is gritty, exciting, sexy and a must read! 4 stars!

Nice Girl

Nice Girl ★★★★

Grace Locke has always been known as the nice girl with in her group of friends, empathetic to those around her as well as acting as the mediator when problems arise. She has just graduated from college and wants to become a college professor. Grace has always wanted to work in Criminal Justice and feels teaching is her best option. She is nervous however to enter this male dominated field, Grace doesn’t have a lot of confidence around men.

Realizing she needs to become a confidant, independent woman in order to succeed in her chosen career she decides to move from her small town in Massachusetts to New York City to work on this while she completes her graduate and doctorate degrees.

Once she has settled into her new place she needs to find a job and get to know her new neighborhood. She finds her favorite coffee house and stumbles upon a help wanted sign nearby. She is hired as the office manager for A&V Private Investigations on the spot. This is her perfect opportunity to work on her confidence, the company is owned by to dominant males; Anthony who “is sort of an exhibitionist” and Vinnie, “the largest man (she’d) ever seen up close” “he’s such a cold hearted bastard sometimes” and has “no respect at all for women”, he’s the type to use ‘em and lose ‘em. Vinnie poses the biggest challenge to Grace, can she work with this man on a daily bases and be strong? She’s not sure, he seems to bring out a side of her she never know the “damsel in distress”.

Over the months Grace learns about Vinnie’s childhood and what has made him into the man he is today. She also learns that she is falling for him. Vinnie has never had a relationship but he finds himself wanting more with Grace. The book takes us on through the roller-coaster ride of their relationship. Is he good enough for her? Can he change? Can she accept his past and the way he has treated women? The sexual tension woven through this story had me on edge to the last page. So many times these two would come close and then one of them would get scared and back off.

This is a well written story about love, patience and learning. The author has at least 3 other books planned for this series and I look forward to reading them. There were many small editing errors mistakes that some might miss. I give this book 4 stars and would highly recommend it to those who enjoy romance and erotic books.

Real by Katy Evans

Real

Main Characters: Remington Riptide Tate
                                     Brooke Dumas

hold on let me catch my breath!!!

Real starts off with Brooke and her best friend Melanie to an underground fight. Being that Brooke has just started off her new career in Sport Rehabilitation  she decides to use this as an opportunity to pass out cards and get her name out. What she wasn't expecting was to meet Remington Tate.

From that moment on Remy and Brooke's story takes off on the most sexually frustrating ride you'll never want to get off of

Remy is a man of few words but when he does speak he makes you feel like you're a Queen to be worshiped.

The energy Remys character pulls you feel it from the very beginning and you fall hopelessly in love with him in that instant.

Unlike so many books ive read Brooke held her own she was a strong willed character with her own issues of course but she was far from a damsley in distress which i have to say i absolutely loved.

Brooke describes her love for Remy:
"Hes not just the star, hes the whole fucking sky to me. He's the sun and every planet in this galaxy"

Through out the who book kept wondering why's the book called 'Real'... but once he said this I was completely undone and of course no longer wondered
an I absolutely can't wait for 'Mine'

"I dont want to be yours... I want to be your real"

Of all the books I have read (and I read a lot) I have to say Remy is by far the best alpha male I have come across since Christian Grey!!

Since reading Real two things are still true to date: 1) I can never listen to 'Iris' without thinking of Remy & 2) I will never ever see or read about another boxer without thinking of Remy

This is one book id sure hope to see on the big screen one day

Give these actors a chance

Since the word got out FSOG was headed to the big screen fans all over the world has voiced there opinions on who should and shouldn't be casted at Christian and Ana through countless polls blogs and social media.

Yesterday the casting news we've all be waiting for has finally been revealed. Charlie and Dakota Johnson has been chosen for the lead role! While they might not have been FSOG fans first pick (my self included) I personally cannot wait to see what they bring to the table.

But what saddens me is the negative feed back ive seen on twitter, facebook and even this site. While its ok for you to voice your opinion, it is us fans that is going to support the movie after all, it is not ok to negatively bash an actor because he isnt your first choice. If you are truly a FSOG fan you owe it to yourself to get to know theses actors. Research some of there work, im sure they both have twitter/facebook accounts follow them get to know them as a person. It just might help you understand why they were chosen for the roles.

When i was younger my mother always told me if you don't have anything nice to say DON'T SAY ANYTHING!!

I think you should keep that in mind before you bash someone you may or may not know nothing about.
